The philosophy discipline welcomes applications for graduate work in the philosophy of race. The discipline has interest in questions such as:
- Should racial categories be used in science or medicine?
- What are the implications of different concepts of race or ethnicity?
Research and research students are at the heart of the discipline. In joining us, you would join a lively and friendly graduate community. The discipline hosts papers by visiting speakers throughout the year and an annual graduate conference where students give papers on their work in progress.
Entry requirements
Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent). Most successful applicants to the research degree programme have an MA in Philosophy (or equivalent). If you are not a UK citizen, you may need to prove your .
