Performance Augmentation seeks to bridge the gap between abstract knowledge and practical application, researching radically new methods to connect knowing something ‘in principle’ to application ‘in practice’. This topic is focused on identifying, developing, and validating solutions that meet the need of the modern industry for access to expertise and professional development.

Immersive and wearable technologies enable us to rethink personal computing to embed knowledge directly into what people experience, enriching the world beyond the visible with novel and powerful forms of feedback on performance.

We research mixed reality interactive content and establish interoperability to improve user experience and human performance. At the same time, we lower entry barriers and provide safe routes for R&D investment.  

Projects pilot novel experience capturing and guidance, holographic artificial intelligence, and human performance analytics with real-time applications, evaluating dimensions such as affective attachment, immediacy, utility, and accuracy.
